As an educator you must create an environment where everyone understands what it takes to succeed and asking for help is encouraged. This workshop focuses on how to leverage your entire student population to create a team environment. Students will understand that by helping each other they not only get individual benefits but also contribute to the common goal of the established group.
Structuring a Positive Working Enviroment.
Offers alternatives and suggestions to the everyday situations that might help to contribute to the classes overall success, such as students' self-efficacy, self-regulation, and motivation. The workshop suggests that there is a triangulation between each area (self-efficacy, motivation, and self-regulation) that will help optimize student achievement.
Monitoring Expectations
Often teachers feel that classroom management skills are learned during their tenure when in fact it is one area that must be examined and adjusted annually. It takes practice to find the necessary alternatives to apply to the various situations that may occur. Management skills must be revisited and learned each year with every new population of students.
